If children live with fear, they learn to be apprehensive.
If children live with pity, they learn to feel sorry for themselves.
If children live with ridicule, they learn to feel shy.
If children live with jealousy, they learn to feel envy.
If children live with shame, they learn to feel guilty.
If children live with encouragement, they learn confidence.
If children live with tolerance, they learn patience.
If children live with praise, they learn appreciation.
If children live with acceptance, they learn to love.
If children live with approval, they learn to like themselves.
If children live with recognition, they learn it is good to have a goal.
If children live with sharing, they learn generosity.
If children live with honesty, they learn truthfulness.
If children live with fairness, they learn justice.
If children live with kindness and consideration, they learn respect.
If children live with security, they learn to have faith in themselves and in those about them.
If children live with friendliness, they learn the world is a nice place in which to live.

Isteri, ibu dari anak-anak suatu keluarga adalah tulang rusuk sang ayah. Sedemikian rupanya bentuk tulang rusuk diciptakan oleh Tuhan Yang Maha Esa, bengkok bentuknya. Bila diluruskan akan patah, tidaklah sempurna bentuk tulang rusuk itu, bagi manusia. Tapi bagi Yang Maha Kuasa, sudah demikian adanya tulang rusuk itu adanya.  Itu penggalan dalam suatu kutbah, ceramah Jumat, yang pernah saya ikuti.

Bertanya-tanya terus dalam pikiran ini, mengapa hal semacam tadi itu menjadi bahasan penting dalam kutbah Jumat ? Setelah mengikuti sampai akhir bahasan kutbah tadi, baru saya pahami betul, maknanya. Wanita yang sudah menjadi ketetapan-Nya sebagai isteri setiap laki-laki adalah memang benar-benar wujud dari tulang rusuk pria tersebut.

Apa daya tarik sebagian besar stasiun televisi saat ini? Acara reality show kah? Ya, itu salah satu acara favorite kebanyakan penonton tv. Dan ada satu acara reality show yang cukup menarik perhatian saya, yaitu acara dimana para penontonnya diajak untuk melihat, mendengar dan merasakan betapa masih banyaknya saudara-saudara kita yang hidup di bawah garis kemiskinan.

First grade on elementary school, our son was very brightly waked up early in Monday morning that is July 14, 2008. And he rush to the bathroom, took a shower, brushed his teeth. Thus, he finished his breakfast after he dressed up within his new uniform, more quickly than days before.

I wondered, as I saw was going in, I jumped from the bed and go after him to do the same things. Just a few weeks before, I already planned to take the day off from my daily work.

Batu akan tetap terlihat sebagai batu biasa, entah di pinggir ajaln, di sungai, di pinggir pantai atau dimana pun ia berada. Tidakkah indah batu ini terlihat, seperti gambar di samping ini ? Ya, batu banyak sekali fungsi dan peranannya, meski terkadang keberadaannya dianggap biasa-biasa saja dan seringkali terabaikan.

Selayaknya mercusuar berfungsi sebagai alat bantu penerangan jalur aman bagi para kapal laut yang ada di sekitar bebatuan karang di pinggir pantai suatu daratan. Setidaknya itulah fungsi utama dari mercusuar. Selain berfungsi tanda bahaya bagi para kapal laut yang akan mendekati daratan yang dipenuhi batu karang atau landainya suatu daratan di tepi pantai.
Mercusuar juga melambangkan adanya fungsi kontrol terhadap tegaknya hukum pelayaran. Dimana salah satu bukti nyata kontrol aman berlayar di bibir pantai bagi kapal laut.

Apa pemicu kemarahan orang saat ini ? Tahukah anda, bahwa perut yang kosong memudahkan emosi orang meledak ? Percaya anda dengan teori awam ini ?
Boleh percaya boleh tidak…

Seiring dengan akan meningkatnya harga bahan bakar, sebegitu cepat pula reaksi orang. Setidaknya mereka mengantisipasinya dengan menaikkannya harga-harga pangan lebih dulu, ibarat orang mencuri start berlari. Saya pun kaget bukan kepalang ketika mendapat kabar dari isteri bahwa begitu besar kenaikan harga seperti margarin yang biasa kami konsumsi. Sudah tidak masuk akal rasanya kenaikan yang terjadi.
